TRAINING

  • Acting as link adviser for special educational needs 

  • Line managing Specialist Education Services, for example, Service for Visual Impairment, Service for Hearing Impairment, Service for pupils with ASD, statutory EHC planning team 

  • Carrying out review of educational provision for SEND across a Local Authority or Multi-Academy group 

  • Representing SEND as part of full school improvement service 

  • Organising or contributing to SENCO network days and CPD opportunities in relation to SEND for all schools 

  • Challenging and supporting SENCOs and senior leaders in implementing government strategy and guidance in relation to SEND 

  • Delivering presentations and messages to Governing Bodies  

  • Working with specific data managers to provide reports and overviews on SEND 

  • Working more intensely with schools causing concern 

WORKING WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES OR MULTI-ACADEMY TRUSTS
